Ohoopee Land & Timber offers timber harvesting and purchasing services to customers throughout southeast Georgia. We buy both pine and hardwood timber, and we also buy land.
Shane Harrelson, Owner and Manager
Shane Harrelson has more than 23 years of combined experience in timber management and timber purchasing. He is a Georgia Registered Forester, Certified Burn Manager, Georgia Master Timber Harvester, and a Carbon Sequestration Forester.
Shane earned a Bachelor of Business Management from Georgia Southern University, and an Associate in Forestry from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. As owner and manager of Ohoopee Land & Timber, he strives to offer competitive prices for pine and hardwood timber, and work for the landowner/clients to deliver professional service while achieving a sustainable approach to Forestry.

Our controlled, prescribed burning services entail a prescription of fire to manage hardwood encroachment, to enhance the wildlife habitat, and to reduce hazardous fuels in the understory.
